Let your imagination run wild on Saturday, October 13, 2012 when Town Square Las Vegas welcomes Imagination Celebration, a day and evening of entertainment. Families are invited to come out and enjoy a "Celebration of Diversity through the Arts," which will run from noon to 5 p.m. and feature live heritage dance and music performances from a variety of performers including: Lohan School of Shaolin (China); Mexico Vivo Dance Company (Mexico); Asociacion Cultural Peruana de Las Vegas (Peru); Shelby's Show Case Kids; Las Vegas Hula; Friends of India (India); Espiritu Paraguayo (Paraguay); Thai Cultural Arts Association (Thailand); Kotobuki Dance Group (Japan); Tendo Baikoki Dance Group; Ah Ya Helu Dancers (Middle Eastern) and more.
In addition, there will be face painting, a final art contest judging for the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners of the valley wide art contest where youth from the Clark County School District were invited to participate in the "What Peace Means to Me" drawing and essay contest. The awarding ceremonies with prizes will be distributed to the winning students and their teachers during the celebration.
Imagination Celebration is presented by the Nevada Youth Alliance in partnership with Town Square Las Vegas, Mexico Vivo Dance Company, Ryan Brekke, 24hr Posters, Red Rock Tents & Events, Amerigroup Corporation, Clark County School District ~ School-Community Partnership just to name a few. All activities are FREE.
